#Depression and #anxiety are the two most common mental health conditions affecting the global population.
While depression is the single largest contributor to global #disability, anxiety stands as the 6th, according to the World Health Organization .
It says even though they both cost the global economy $1 trillion every year in lost #productivity, every dollar invested in their treatment can generate a return of $4 in terms of improved #wellbeing and increased #ability to work.
Some facts about this:
🔸 Over 300 million people in the world were estimated to suffer from depression in 2015 (4.4% of the world’s population).
🔸 Around 264 million people in the world suffered from anxiety disorders in 2015 (3.6%).
🔸 Both are more common among #females than males.
